Weld inspections

Welds are found in a wide range of industries including petrochemical, infrastructure, oil and gas, utilities, manufacturing, nuclear and energy.

Welds are subject to various stresses, which makes them a focal point for inspection, as they are critical to structural integrity and safety.

Welds are subject to a range of defects and potential failures that can include surface-breaking cracks, volumetric defects and other types of discontinuities including weld root corrosion or erosion. These must be detected and characterised accurately to allow asset integrity engineers to make informed decisions on the product, equipment and plant to ensure it performs safely and reliably.
